Shaina Lester
Shaina is a licensed Resident Counselor in Virginia with five years of hands-on experience in the mental health field. Throughout her career, she has actively engaged in various service areas,
including intensive in-home therapy, therapeutic day treatment, ABA services, community-based services, virtual residential services, functional family therapy, and outpatient therapy. Her diverse background enables her to connect with individuals of all ages, from young children to older adults. She is sensitive to the unique experiences of individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community. Shaina recognizes that LGBTQIA+ clients often encounter specific challenges such as societal stigma, identity struggles, and access to appropriate resources. Her understanding of gender dysphoria, sexual orientation, and the complexities of navigating mental health within this community informs her therapeutic approach, making her a vital ally and advocate.
