Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, is a type of therapy that helps people who struggle with strong emotions or behaviors that feel hard to control. It teaches practical skills in four main areas: being more mindful, handling stress in healthy ways, managing emotions, and improving relationships.

DBT is especially helpful for people dealing with things like intense mood swings, relationship challenges, substance use, or eating issues.

Originally developed for borderline personality disorder, it's now used to support many different mental health challenges.

The goal of DBT is to help people feel more in control, build healthier habits, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
